Property Details of Midi Pyrenees Farmhouse
Our ivy-clad farmhouse is set deep in the Tarn countryside and so not overlooked from any angle, with wide views over farmland towards the hilltop village of Puylaurens. We have recently refurbished it, finishing it to a high standard and equipping it with modern furniture. It’s an ideal spot to ‘escape’ to!
Ground floor accommodation comprises lounge, large and fully equipped kitchen and breakfast area and a WC. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor, one double and two twin, as well as a bathroom (bath, shower and WC).
Our pool is a 20m long, heated, salt water pool.
Please note that the farm shares its location and certain facilities (pool, washing and tumble dryer machines) with our Chateau which we also rent out. However, it is separated from the Chateau by 50m of woodland so guests need not be disturbed.
Local Area DetailsWhilst ours is a rural region with a strong culinary tradition (cassoulet, foie gras) there is plenty to do! We have canoeing, windsurfing, horseriding, mountain biking, go-karts, pedaloes, fishing and walking all within a 30 minutes drive. There's even an adventure theme park 20 minutes away! The nearby Montagnes Noires offer caves and ruined Cathar castles. The medieval cities of Albi (cathedral, Toulouse Lautrec museum) and Carcassonne (the walled city is a World Heritage Site) are each an hour's drive away, as is the major city of Toulouse (extensive shopping). The beaches of the Mediterranean and the peaks of the Pyrenees are each and hour and a half away.
Our nearest supermarket is 8km away in Revel and the nearest hypermarket 20km away in Castres. There's plenty of restaurants nearby and even a Michellin-starred one within 20 minutes drive
