Six independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which go back to 17th century. It is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills The proximity to Perugia, makes the holidays farm's position ideal for visiting other artistic towns in Umbria, such as Assisi , Gubbio , Todi, Orvieto and the Trasimeno lake
Local Area Detailshe farm is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and which house the production center of the farms products The farmhouse apartments are all perfectly restored each one with private entrance and common garden Inside they are tastefully furnished with TV and their single unit heating system The historic center of Perugia is only 4 km away from the farm Here youll find good restaurants pubs shops and supermarkets Assisi is just 15 Gubbio 28km Assisi and Spello 15km Trasimeno Lake 20km Todi and Orvieto 45km Our farm produces an high quality extra virgin olive oil The old farm tools have given way to advanced techniques while losing nothing of the traditional art of olive oil production These modern tools respect and safeguard all the natural characteristics of the freshly harvested olive and prevent any alteration from occurring during the production process The olives are picked manually from the trees and carried to the press within 48 hours The oil is extracted with cold working without chemical solvents It has a fresh flavor a very fruity spicy intense and savory olive oil characterized by sweet and bitter features Olive oil is the principal source of fat in the Mediterranean diet It is mainly used for dressing dishes and its nutritional qualities seem to be responsible for decreasing cancer and cardiovascular diseases in populations who use it in preference to other dressings rich in saturated fats both of animal and vegetable origin Our farm produces also a good red wine from sangiovese and montepulciano grapes and jams You can sell our products in the farm We offer a bottle of our wine to all the guest of the farm On request we offer cooking classes and wine tours
