The new mobile homes (4x) are sited in camping La Hojita, a recently re-opened site, upgraded by belgium owners. John Jacobs and his wife Yolanda are very helpfull and attend customers in english, french, dutch, german and polish...o yes also in spanish... The statics are alocated on a 120m2 plot, with garden, grass and trees to provide shade. You will find garden furniture and gazeboo installed at arrival. The Statics are 32foot long by 13foot wide and have a ^ roof. Walk up the 3 steps, open the bigg dobble glazed doors and discover the young fresh atmosfer. You will walk into the fully fitted kitchen-diningroom and sitting corner, with sofa bed. The showerroom with washhand bassin is very funcional and the toilet, W.C., is seperated. One master bedroom with dobble bed and wardrobe, two bedrooms with 2 singlebeds each and wardrobe will sleep in total 6 people, eventualy 2 more people can sleep on the sofa-bed. All crockery, cutlery and kitchentowels, fridge-freezer and tv-dvd are for use. The aircondicioner and heating systhem will make it feel comftable all year round. The unit is dobble glazed all around. In february 2009 a WIFI systhem will be installed. The campsite has a very cose bar with satelite TV. The restaurant offers on working days a full meal for 9,50€. All fiesta days, evenings and week-ends you will have posebility to eat choosing of a very large menucard. All year round you can use the barbeque area, with the granit picknick tables, it will be a fantastic family outdoor moment. The large swimmingpool, 220.000Liters water, will be open in summertime. Next to it you will find lovely gardens with outdoor pingpong table, pooltable, football kicker, petanca track ( frenchball game ) and a nice 9hole minigolf. Next to be instald is rock climing wall and outside fitness track. Kids will find their happynes on the playground with sand-pool and a bigg bungee-castle put up in the summer mounths. Only 500yards away from our gate you'll find a small river, you could fish and walk along the riverside,depending the season you could go surching for muschroom or wild asperges. Walking 1 mile along this river you will discover restaured ruines of a " Vetton Village " from about 500 years B.C. You will be very excited finding an pre-historical arrowpoint or a part of a 2500 year old pantile, amazed you will try to understand the drawings apaering in the rocks...after all these emotions you could find all explaind in the arqueologic museum. Then you cuold also go for the "Green Route", old railway, 12miles down hill, 17 bridges desigend by Mr. Eiffel running from one, of the 20 tunnels, into the next tunnel. Most impresive walk in Salamanca countryside. On an other day you could go for a boattrip on the beautifull river El Duero, amazing siteseeing that shows 2 countries in one go...Portugal and Spain, what a diference, a 400 yards wide, river as border can make... You could also enjoy a day out renting a kayak or a mountanbike for bird watching. Overhere local people do ride a horse very often, some work all day in the saddle gettering the sheep, cows and bulls...Often the camping organises horse riding days with the local people, probabely a few wagons will be purchased to le visitirs participate in the event. Let us remind you Salamanca town is a "must" visit because of his historical patrimonium and university, also remind Salamanca offers 5 excellent golf corses. Only 45minutes route with local bus service, stopping at our gate. The ski station " la covatilla " is near to Bejar mountains, about 1hour drive.
