Property Details of Donegal House
Daisy Cottage is a comfortable, newly renovated 100 year old house in the centre of the village. We have a private paved patio with bbq and an orchard garden. As Daisy Cottage is also our holiday home we have furnished and fitted it to supply most if not all the needs of a family or group. The beds are fitted with good quality matresses and bedding and the towels are all pure white and of good quality. There are fire alarms fitted for your safety and the house has been completely rewired too.
- 3 double bedded rooms all en suite (one room is on the ground floor and has a walk in wet room, disabled wc, whb). There is a ramp from the rear of the property to access this downstairs bedroom and the front door is on ground level so the bedroom is suitable for those with limited mobility.
- 2 twin bedded room
- Separate bathroom with bath, wc, and whb.
Good quality white towels and bed linen supplied (2 face/wash cloths, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels per person). We also supply kitchen towels, beach towels.
- Large kitchen/diner with well stocked kitchen including: large American style fridge/freezer with ice cube and chilled, filtered water dispensers, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, matching dishes, cutlery, glasses, ample cooking pans and utensils plus extras such as juicer, toaster, electric kettle.
- Separate utility area with washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board.
- Living room has open fire, tv, dvd player, cd player, supply of dvds, cds and books.
- For baby by prior request we can supply cot with bedding, push chair, baby gates, steriliser, high chair, baby listening device, etc.
- Games room with pool & air hockey table, darts board, football table
- Free internet access and in house computer.
- ipod docking station.
- Mobile/cell phone available for use with prior notice.
- Hairdryers, picinic dishes, beach towels, cool box etc. also supplied.
- Paved patio with bbq.
- Orchard garden.
- Pets occasionally accepted with PRIOR WRITTEN consent of owner.
- No smoking in house or games room but ok on the patio.

Local Area DetailsDunkineely is a small village in the south west of county Donegal. It is a perfect location for scenic drives around Donegal and visiting surrounding counties including Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, and the counties of Northern Ireland.
The village has a number of bars, some of which have live Irish music nights. There are grocery shops, hairdresser, beauty salon, diving hire centre, post office, diner, and roughly a mile from the cottage a very popular fine dining restaurant.
Locally there is diving, fishing (lake, sea and river), hill walking/hiking, surfing, horse riding, golf, Irish music nights, pubs, restaurants, cafes, shopping. For those who enjoy marine life there are many spottings of dolphins in the seas surrounding the area. I have added a pic I took of a mother dolphin and her calf swimming with a pod of dolphins in the waters near Daisy Cottage.
In Killybegs, a fishing port just a few miles away you can buy freshly caught fish on the pier each day and there is a fruit & veg market stall too where you can stock up on fresh veg, fruit, eggs, breads, jams and preserves to make perfect meals during your holiday.
A bus runs from Dunkineely to Donegal Town and Killybegs each day.
The main town of Letterkenny is a 40 minutes drive away and is well served with all the shops and attactions of a larger town.
