This well appointed detached villa is situated in the quiet residential area of Garajau. Just 10 minutes from Funchal airport, 10 minutes from Funchal and 5 minutes from the sea side resort of Caniço. It is tucked away in a very quiet residential area, but yet conveniently only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Garajau, where you will find a supermarket and a nice choice of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and a selection of small boutique style shops. The villa is tastefully furnished and has a modern and youthful 'feel' about it. There is a spacious living/dining area with open fire, and French windows that open on to a balcony overlooking the garden. There you can lazily spend a few hours in the sun, or at the end of the day have a relaxing glass of wine whilst appreciating the beautiful view. There are two double bedrooms, both south facing with French windows leading onto the balcony. The third bedroom, at the rear of the villa is a single with an en-suite shower room. Stairs lead down to the large multi-level garden, approximately 800 square metres, with its mixture of lawned area and shrubs and trees. There is also a selection of cacti plants. Even though there isn't a swimming pool, this is not a problem as just 5 minutes by car and you will find the recently built cable car which takes you down to the beach at Garajau. The resort of Caniço is also an alternative seaside choice. For those of you that do not wish to hire a car, there is a regular bus service to the resort of Caniço and Funchal. Although we love children, due to the nature for the furnishings, it is not really suitable for children under the age of 5 years. Also care needs to be taken with young children as the balcony rail is quite low. The necessary care and attention would need to be taken by the parents at all times.
