This villa is semi-detached, located in a hamlet alongside a recreational lake and on the edge of a 12th and 16th century village. The villa was built in 1970 with modern comforts. It has a large terrace and private garden. It is around the corner from the hamlet square where the cafes, bistros, mini-supermarche and the tabac are all located. The location of the house protects it from the occassional Mistral and from the worst of the afternoon summer sun. But it pick up the breeze that blows in the evening off the lake. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house for privacy. One is on the mezzanine above the salon and bathroom and kicthen. The other is below the salon and has its own sitting area and WC and sink enclosure.
Local Area DetailsThe villa is central to all the country activities from horse riding to hiking, bike riding, climbing, golf, tennis, touring, the Gorges de Verdon. 5 minutes walk to the lake with swimming, boating, canoes etc. 5 minutes walk to the old town with the Post Office, Church, Hotel/Restaurant and the artists galleries. The old Roman town of Riez with its twice weekly market and supermarket is a 20 minute drive as is the Spa village of Greoux-les-Bains. The big town of Manosque is 55 ks with many supermarkets, train station and car rental agencies as well as excellent shopping and boutiques. It has a full hospital facilities and extensive selection of specialists around the town.
