Fontaine Vive is our modern spacious house (sleeps 8 - 4 bedrooms) all on one level, is set in a superb location, tucked away at the end of a quiet country lane, on the borders of the Charente and Dordogne Departments. With a superb 10m x 5m pool (fenced and lockable gate), the property nestles in beautiful, secluded countryside with only the views of woods and fields around you. Fontaine Vive stands in a one acre fenced garden making it ideal for children.
It is perfect for those seeking a peaceful country retreat, yet it is within easy reach of both the Charente and Dordogne departments' numerous attractions. It is only 5 mins from the hamlet of Ronsenac (grocer, butcher, cafe)and 10 mins from Villebois Lavalette, a small town with all amenities and a big supermarket.
A large 40 sq m lounge with open fireplace, TV/DVD/Satelite/Video /Hifi, phone with 4 patio doors opening out to east and south terraces. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with d/w, w/m, m/w, f/f and all mod cons. At one end of the house is the Games Room with a full sized table tennis table, darts, board games etc. All bedrooms are located in one side of the L shape of the house, together with the fully tiled bathroom with vanity unit, separate shower and bidet, and a separate WC. Bedrooms: (1 double with kingsized bed) with patio doors out with ensuite shower; 2 twins, 1 bunkbed room with patio doors out and separate washroom/WC. We also have a travel cot for those with babies.

Rentals go from £300 pw low season, to £995 pw high season. Long Term winter rents from £550 per month. Although peak season is Saturday to Saturday, out of season departure dates can be flexible.
Local Area DetailsNearest village Ronsenac 5 mins: 12th Century priory and church, small cafe.A great adventure playground for children, with tennis courts and an area where the locals come and play boules in the summer evenings. Nearest Town Villebois Lavalette 6km: Medieval market place, 12 c Castle and Church. The tourist office in Villebois-Lavalette offers all sorts of information on the area, as well as sports activities for people to get involved in. These include horse riding, guided walks, VTT (mountain biking), hand-gliding, rock-climbing, swimming, tennis. There is always a multitude of cultural activities around in the summer months, and these are well advertised in the various villages, newspapers and at the tourist office. The local villages always hold their own f괥s. Being only a couple of miles (literally) from the Dordogne department, with all its attractions, there will always be something to do ? if you want to?.
Fishing locally (with 25 mins) and horseriding.
The river Dronne, with its sandy beach at Aubeterre (canoeing) officially one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, is less than ? an hours' drive away, as is the Chⴥau of Bourdeilles and the old Abbey at Brant? The nearby town of Angoulꭥ offers good shopping, swimming pools, a huge lake for sailing and water skiing, a good golf course as well as famous cartoon museum for the family to enjoy.
