Casa Maya is situated in a small cul de sac with nine other privately owned detached villas just 600metres from the beach at the picturesque bay of El Portet. The swimming pool is about 30 metres from the villa far enough to avoid noise but near enough to be convenient. For winter lets this apartment is centrally heated.
VILLA INFORMATION
A small welcome pack is provided to ensure that late arrivals can snack and drink.
All bed linen and towels are provided apart from beach towels.
Washing machines are available on both floors.
There is a weekly change of all bed linen, towels and tea towels.
Apartments must be vacated by 10.00 and will not be available until 4.00 on the day of arrival unless by prior arrangement. The villa has a garage, which is available for storage on arrival and departure days if needed.
APARTMENT A is situated on the upper floor and consists of: -
Staircase to the front terrace with entrance door to the enclosed naya (sunroom) containing an occasional table and chairs with lovely views over the mountains and headland. Double doors lead to the lounge / dining room where there are sofas, coffee table, fireplace with wood burning stove, books, games, jigsaw puzzles and satellite television. The rear of the room has traditional dining table and furniture with double doors leading to another terrace with a barbeque. Beyond the terrace is a small garden and patio area with table and chairs for those sunny breakfasts. An archway from the lounge leads to a passageway from which the following rooms are reached. A fully equipped traditional wood and granito kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, four burner gas cooker, coffee percolator, toaster and microwave. Bathroom with ample storage space, full size bath, sink and toilet. The bath has a shower screen and powerful shower providing plenty of hot water. An ironing board, iron and drying lines are available on both floors for those new men amongst you. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes separate drawer units, fans, insect screens, curtains and outer blinds at all the windows. The bedrooms are one double, one twin and a good size single bedroom with access to the rear terrace.
Downstairs is a garage, which is available to store suitcases etc if required.
Local Area DetailsEL PORTET - MORIARA
If you have not visited this area of Spain prepare to be pleasantly surprised. It is incredibly green and very beautiful with a sea or mountain view at every turn with El Portet being considered one of the best, if not the best situation on the Costa Blanca. Planning restrictions have ensured that high-rise blocks are banned leaving the surrounding hills to be populated with villas. The bay itself has a narrow horseshoe shaped beach with al fresco bars that enable you to be enjoying a drink while the children can be on the beach, no more than two or three yards away. The water is clear blue and the beach is gently shelved so that even 15 metres out you are unlikely to be out of your depth. A short and very pleasant coastal walk past the marina will bring you into the narrow streets of Moraira with its boutiques, daily fish market, and large Friday general market. The whole area is awash with every conceivable type of restaurant with a three-course menu of the day including wine being about eight pounds.
PLACES OF INTEREST range from the Jalon valley abounding with vines and almond trees. Here you can fill your 5 litre water container with local wine at the Bodegas for less than you would pay for water in the U K: The Monastery at Guadalest, Terra Mitica theme park, Mundomar water park and the Serria De Bernia mountains are all a short drive from the villa.
