Bougainvilla apartmnet is A large one bedroom apartment with ensuite bathroom. It has its own kitchen with hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge. In the very large lounge/dining area there is an old wood burning stove and satellite TV. Bougainvilla is furnished to a high standard with big sofa's (one a double soaf bed)rustic dining table and plenty of original art on the walls. Outside Bougainvilla has its own terrace overlooking the landscaped courtyard gardens and is only 20m from the fresh water heated 10m x 5m pool, hydromassage Jacuzzi, cabana and the rest of the extensive gardens.

Local Area Details

Quinta das Achadas is situated in the western Algarve in the town of Odiaxere some 5km from the city of Lagos. Odiaxre has a charming manner and has so far missed out on the trashy tourism sometimes associated with the Algarve. Retaining it's Portugues rooots it has a local market selling fresh fish, meat and vegetables as well as some very goog local restaurants serving authentic and reasonably priced food. The nearest beach is called the Meia Praia which is some 5km away. This is an excellent sandy beach stretching for some 8km so there is always space for everbody. Lagos is the nearest city and the nices of cities along the Algarve. With a wealth of history dating bach to Henry the Navigator, a multitude of different restaurants, bars, banks, shops, marina and some of the finest small beaches along the Algarve. Any number of activities can be had from water skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing, surfing, horse riding, mountain biking, trekking, deep sea fishing, dolphin watching to hiring a yacht a crew. The stunning west caost beaches are only 45 min drive away as is Sagres the most westerly point in Europe. Here you find great cliff top walks, brilliant surfing, uncrowded beaches and some terrific beach restaurants. Just behind us is the Monchique mountain range with its own spa, stunning views and also some terrific restaurants.
