Property Details of Maine Cottage

Our two bedroom/full bath shore cottage has 350 feet of deep water frontage on beautiful Pigeon Hill Bay. Cottage has 25 feet of continuous windows in the Great Room overlooking the bay, the North Atlantic, Bois Bubert Island, and Petit Manan Island lighthouse. Cottage is ideally located for touring Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Down East Maine, and maritime Canada.

Our cottage has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Cottage has a complete kitchen with full size refrigerator, full size range and oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and all the kitchenware, dishes, and utensils you will need. Full bath/shower combination is easily accessed directly from master bedroom with secondary access through the kitchen.

Cottage sleeps six comfortably: two in double bed in master bedroom; two in twin beds in 2d floor bedroom with views of the bay; and two in queen size pull-out sleeper in the Great Room. Guests must supply only their own bed linens and towels. (Owners will provide both for international/ foreign guests for $ 25.)

In addition to a great location for touring coastal Maine and maritime Canada, our cottage is perfectly located for birding -- 1/2 mile from the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge. Petit Manan NWR is composed of 43 offshore islands (including Bois Bubert Island and Petit Manan Island within view of the cottage) and 3 onshore parcels consisting of 7,000 acres. The parcel at the end of our paved road contains more than 1,100 acres and over 300 species of birds have been sighted there -- more than in any other U.S. national wildlife refuge. See eagles, ospreys, loons, puffins, guillemots, artic and roseate terns, eiders, and dozens of songbirds and shorebirds.
