A traditional 3-bedroom Breton house, spacious and stone-built, with oak parquet floors and beamed ceilings. Set in the heart of a friendly village in the quiet unspoilt Breton countryside, it is also central for all amenities.
There is a tiny un-enclosed south-facing patio area out front, where there is enough space to set up the patio furniture and relax on a deckchair with a glass of cold wine (or beer if you prefer!), watching the world go by - very slowly.
WHAT'S INSIDE?
Spacious lounge, with traditional wood-burner set in large fire-place, settees, easy chairs, table and dining chairs. Settee also folds out to double-bed (properly sprung one, not foam).
Spacious kitchen kitted out with everything from gas cooker, fridge, wood-burning stove, kitchen table & 8 chairs (but it extends to seat a further 4 people if required), music/cd player, microwave, toaster, kettle, all cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, etc.
Also equipped with washing machine, iron and airer (if you really feel the need).
Large hallway, with loo.
Under-stairs storage for deck-chair and patio furniture,
UPSTAIRS
Bedroom 1, ensuite with shower, loo & sink. King size bed (for those who like to sprawl), plus fold-away single bed if required.
Bedroom 2, one single bed.
Bedroom 3, two single beds, plus one additional foldaway single bed if required. Built in wardrobes. Shower and sink.
Local Area DetailsThere is much to be discovered in the region. From historic monuments and fetes to great leisure parks and natural reserves. Lac de Guerledan is simply stunning and offers a host of activities to suit most tastes. Pontivy is your nearest “large” town, some 15-20 minutes drive away.
According to the guide books, Brittany has around one third of France’s total coastline! Seglien’s central position means you are within easy reach of many different beaches, leisure areas and towns. Many superb beaches are to be found close to L’Orient, some 40 minutes away.

RENTAL COSTS
We have tried to keep our charges as low as possible, so that a French holiday can be really affordable. However, we can only do this through everyone respecting the property and looking after its contents. We implore you to leave it just as you would hope to find it.
Rates include end-of-stay cleaning, tourist taxes and a fair ration of electricity. (up to 8 units of electricity per day)
For Gas, there is “gas insurance” (something we just dreamt up!) You can either pay an additional £10 per week and if the gas runs out it will be replaced free of charge. Or, if you don’t pay the gas-insurance and the gas runs out you will be expected to replace it (approx 40 euros a bottle). We know, it’s a bit of a gamble, but we decided on this idea after speaking to lots of people.
Linen (bedclothes) is available to hire at a cost of £5.00 per bed per week, but you are welcome to bring your own.
