Property Details of Languedoc Mobile Home

Our mobile home is situated at Siblu’s Le Lac Des Reves on the Mediterranean coast, South of France. We also have aquaintances on the same site so if we cannot accomadate your booking or you need more than pnje mobile home we may be able to help, up to 4 mobile homes available.

Le Lac Des Reves is a very special place for us. We first went to Le Lac Des Reves in 1997 and bought our first mobile home at the end of that first holiday. We have been back every year since. In 2006 we upgraded to a brand new 36’ 3-bedroomed model, the biggest allowed in France.. Our own children love the place and treat it as their second home.

When we purchased our new mobile home we gave great consideration to the plot we had it sited on. We decided to move to a place that was convenient for the amenities on the site and you will therefore be located in a prestigious position on the Parc, very close to the pool and recreational facilities.

We have put a lot of thought into making our holiday home as comfortable as possible and hope you will enjoy your stay. The following should give you a taste of what to expect when you arrive:

Our mobile home is a real home from home. There is a dining area and lounge area with a mobile air conditioning and heating unit. There are full kitchen facilities including a full size gas cooker, microwave and fridge freezer.

There are three bedrooms, one double and two twins (these can be converted to doubles if needed). There is also an additional metal framed sprung mattress double bed that folds out from under the lounge area seating. All in the mobile home will accommodate 8 people.

The caravan has an integral bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. These are all connected to mains sewage and water services, the hot water is provided throughout via a gas fired boiler. For your safety these services are checked annually by parc appointed staff.

In 2007 we decided to further enhance our comfort with the addition of a full length decking area adjacent to the mobile home. This doubles the effective space available to you whilst utilising the accommodation.
Don't forget we have both British and European sockets so you don't need those fiddly adapters. There's even an iron supplied!

Le Lac Des Reves

The site is featured in the Siblu brochure or their web site at www.siblu.co.uk where you can see photographs of the site, swimming pools and information on the local area. You can also see details of the similarly styled Excellence mobile home whilst you are there just compare prices.

Shopping

There is a small shop on the site, but locally there are two enormous hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour. There are numerous smaller shops selling clothes, luggage, sports, shoes jewellery and even a Toys R Us. There are lots of Retail parks in the area; you'll be spoilt for choice.

Places to Eat

The site has its own bar, restaurant and take-away. The local town hypermarket malls incorporate the dreaded McDonalds (we are sure any children will be overjoyed….. ) and other cafes and taverns. Palavas has its own tower with revolving restaurant, well worth the experience.

Leisure Activities

Many activities are organized on the site by Siblu. Out and about you can indulge in many others - the choice is really up to you.

Getting There

We have tried many ways:

Cross channel - choice of ferry, speed ferry, hovercraft or tunnel. We prefer the tunnel, mainly for the speed of booking in and crossing. Then drive through France. Again we prefer the auto routes for speed. Driving in France really is a delight and you will be surprised what distances you can cover. With shared drivers it is perfectly possible to cover the whole distance in one day although we do make an overnight stop about ¾ way down if we are driving with the children.

Fly - there are regular cheap flights by Ryan Air straight into Montpellier or even Nimes which is only a 45 minute drive away. This is possible from numerous airports throughout the UK, surf to www.ryanair.com to check it out.

Train - personally we haven't tried this but we are getting good reports from our guests for both speed and reasonable cost.
Arrival and Departure

Any day arrival or departure can be negotiated for low season. Take advantage of those cheap midweek flights! Just contact us. Please remember, in order to keep the cost of hire reasonably priced (have you seen those Siblu prices!) it has to be expected that everybody leaves the mobile home as they would wish to find it.

On changeover days please depart by 10am and don't arrive until after 4pm. This just gives us time to see that it is clean and tidy and to check the gas between guests.
