The hilltop village of Lysos is a well kept secret, and is cooler and less humid in Summer months as it is 600m above sea level. Villa Nikolas is recommended to guests who want to relax and sample traditional village life. Slightly off the beaten track, visitors are made very welcome in this hilltop village, with its views across the Akamas, to the sea. I have a very high repeat booking rate here. The Akamas National Park is nearby, and offers beautiful countryside and uncrowded beaches, all protected from development. These include sandy Lara Bay, where the turtles nest, and Chrysochou Bay, which offers mile after mile of quiet beaches alongside citrus groves, with a dramatic backdrop of hills. Accommodation The villa is all on one level, with 7 steps from main gate, enclosed for privacy by 9’ high stone wall with antique wooden gates. 3 bedrooms, 2 double with French doors to poolside, (Master bedroom has TV and adjoining bathroom), and a twin. Sponge mattress available for 7th person, and small utility room can be used as extra bedroom. 2 bathrooms, full mirrored/marble with bath, shower and w.c.
