An end cottage in the Farm steading. This high quality cottage, with sweeping panoramic views, across open fields to the mountains in the Cairngorms National Park has an unrivalled location in remote Glenlivet in Speyside.
The holiday cottage is double glazed with modern kitchens, centrally heated and comfortably furnished with CD/radio players, digital satellite TV, DVD and coal fired stove as a feature in the lounge. Linen and towels are included. Cot and high chair available free. Electricity is metered. Barbecue and patio furniture in courtyard.
Excellent base for exploring highland Scotland, from Aberdeen to
Inverness. It is ideal for relaxing, touring, wildlife, skiing, walking, or golfing.
Local Area DetailsDufftown is the centre of the Malt whisky industry in Speyside with a huge selection of distilleries to visit. Choose from the Glenlivet, Aberlour, Glenfiddich, Glenfarclas, Glen Grant and the Speyside Cooperage to name. but a few. Tomintoul village is the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. We have stunning castles in the area. Balmoral, home of the Royal family, Ballindalloch castle, Fyvie castle and Dunnottar castle are just a few of the many in the area. Enjoy golfing, walking, cycling or just relax and enjoy the views.
Additional InformationAbout ParksGlenlivet in the Cairngorms National Park is a wonderful area for wildlife viewing. The range is from Reindeer, Red deer and roe deer to red squirrels and foxes. The birds are equally fascinating with sightings of the golden eagle, but more common are buzzards, kestrels and red kites along with oystercatchers, curlews and lapwings. The landscape varies from rolling farmland across the heather clad moors to the high mountain ranges and includes 2 ski areas at the Lecht and Cairngorm. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, wonderful to walk in and to photograph.
About WalkingThe Cairngorms National Park is a great area for walking with way marked trails on the Glenlivet Estate varying in length from 2 to 16 miles. There are river walks, moorland walks and walks in the hills and mountains. The variety of scenery and wildlife to be seen on the walks is superb.
