Local Area DetailsCornamona village is a peaceful place ideally suited for touring connamara. 1 hours drive away from Westport Clifden Castlebar and Galway city, Cornamona village has one pub and one shop. No driving needed for any. The accommodation is next to a river that connect to Lough Corrib, A fishermans dream. We can organise boat rental.The area also has beautiful mountain walks, One such walk has just been refurbished "An Seanbhothar" which links Cornamona to Clonbur. Magnificent views all the way.On a clear day you can see most of lough corrib and Galway city. Cong is 15 minute drive away where you can go horse riding or visit Ashford castle and take a cruise on the corrib.
