Our luxurious and beautifully restored apartment is spacious and airy and has the advantage of a large private balcony with stunning views of the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Set in a quiet location, this comfortable self catering accommodation is fully equipped with stylish furnishings and has shared use of the swimming pool, sun terraces and gardens.

Access to the first floor is by an outside staircase leading to the apartment’s private entrance door. The internal lobby has plenty of coat hooks and a cloakroom with WC and a hand basin.

The 2 bedrooms (Sleeping 4/6) are spacious, stylishly furnished and have beautiful modern, en-suite shower rooms with heated towel rail and an extraction fan. Both bedrooms have lovely views of Cellino Attanasio (our local village) and the surrounding hills and mountains.

Bedroom 1. has a kingsize bed whilst bedroom 2. has twin beds.

If needed, these 2 bedrooms can be supplemented by up to a further three spacious beautifully furnished en-suite bedrooms located on the ground floor, allowing 12/14 people in total to be accommodated comfortably.

The modern open plan living room/dining room/kitchen (45' x 14') is furnished with 2 leather 3-seater settees with recliners, coffee tables, 32" flat screen TV, DVD with some DVDs/CDs and book shelves with a selection of reading material. The seating area is located around an attractive wood-burning stove in the large fireplace. There is a glass and leather dining table and leather chairs which seats 6 comfortably.

Double doors lead to the large private balcony with stunning 360 degree views across fields and olive groves to the Apennine Mountains. The balcony has a sun umbrella, tables and chairs and a private spiral staircase leading to the sun terraces and the swimming pool.

The large stylish kitchen (which is open plan with the living room and dining room) is very well equipped with many cupboards and large drawers and plenty of kitchen ware. There is a central 'floating island' breakfast counter with 4 stools, a large gas cooker, 6 ring gas hob, American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and electric kettle.

In addition to the dining suite in the sitting room, there is an additional separate dining room with an extending table (seating up to 10/12 people.) and an Italian-style dresser.

The 1st floor apartment has under-floor heating with thermostats in each room which is available in Winter months with a fuel charge according to use. Wood for the log burning stove in winter months is charged as an extra cost. All windows have fly screens.

Towels and toiletries (soap, shampoo and conditioning rinse, shower gel) are provided in all bathrooms and a hairdryer in each bedroom.

For your arrival a provisions hamper can be ordered with local produce, wines etc.

Local Area Details

Cellino Attanasio our nearest village approx 5km (6 mins drive) has bars, a very good pizzaria/restaurant, supermarkets, chemist, petrol garage and a bank with an ATM.

Castelnuovo Vomano (10 mins drive) is a small town with good shopping for most goods, bars restaurants, several banks etc.

Artistic Atri (12 mins drive) is known as ‘A Jewel' in the locality, with a beautiful duomo, piazzas and its winding alleyway ending in stunning views - a visit here is a must! Teramo is one of Abruzzo's main towns with an interesting historical centre, museums and designer shops.

Pineto Beach, (just a 20 minute drive) is a lovely small seaside resort (Blue Flag) with all beach amenities, bars and restaurants. The sea is shallow and very safe for bathing. Other equally lovely beach resorts are within 30 minutes drive of the Villa

ATTRACTIONS AROUND VILLA COLLINA AND ABRUZZO
Abruzzo has many wonderful places of interest both artistic, architectural or of a natural nature. There are many close to Villa Collina including the Calanchi di Atri - hillsides of clay erosion furrows which cover an extensive area just 10 mins drive away, now a protected Nature Reserve. In the Mountains are 3 National Parks and numerous WWF Nature Reserves inhabited by many species of wildlife including bears, wolves and eagles.

We can arrange an English speaking guide to accompany you on walks locally or in the Mountains where you can see waterfalls, ancient villages and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Other mountain pursuits available are rock climbing, pot holing and cycling.

Locally we have several fishing lakes and horse riding is available nearby for experienced riders. There is a water park with numerous slides etc at Giulianova which is great fun for the children whilst Pescara hosts a modern and well equipped marina.

Along the glorious Adriatic coast are many attractive resorts, frequented mostly by Italians as foreigners are few and far between. Our nearest resort is Pineto, just 20 drive away, where the Pine Trees grow on the beach and offer welcome shade for a siesta after a delicious midday meal. Beaches have long golden sands and the water is warm clear turquoise blue. Abruzzo prides its self on its Blue-Flag status meaning clean and safe beaches.

Other lovely resorts nearby include Roseto and Silvi Marina.

Campo Imperatore and Prati di Tivo Ski Resorts are 45 min - 1 hour from Villa Collina. Full hire facilities are available as well as tuition. Cross country, downhill skiers and snow boarders are all well catered for.
