"La Casa Inglese" is a renovated farm house at 800 metres behind the mountains of Genoa and Savona. It has all modern facilities to make it comfortable to live in and pleasant to enjoy. If you love nature, are ecologically minded, love simplicity, peace, tranquillity, privacy, this is home for you. The house stands in its own grounds surrounded by woods. We have a good size garden, with tables and seating. Relax among roses, lavender, hydrangea and other flowers. Our vegetable garden grows salad ingredients, tomatoes, courgettes, celery and other seasonal crops, also aromatic Italian herbs; we hope to share some with you. We have on the ground floor a 20m2 apartment with independent entrance, with a double bedroom (the Oscar Wilde room). It has a fully equipped fitted kitchen /dining room, and bathroom, and writing area. The apartment has a kitchenette with an integrated work unit with a 2 ring electric hob, a small fitted fridge/freezer and sink. There is separate small oven grill; table with two chairs; pans and kitchen aids; plates and cutlery. The bathroom, shower and WC is en suite. On the attic floor we have a large apartment with 2 double bedrooms. One 30m2 (the William Blake room) with a double bed and three piece suite. The other (the Germaine Greer room) is a 25M2 room with two single beds also with seating area and writing area. The kitchen is well equipped with a 1.5M high standing fridge/freezer, microwave, good spacious cabinets and 1.5 drainer sink. Large gas cooker. Pans and saucepans, plates and cutlery and kitchen aids. Round table for 4 people. There is a separate spacious bathroom with bidet, shower and WC. We, Nicholas and Zoraida (one English, the other Venezuelan) are Oxford graduates, with wide interests. We have plenty of books in English, including literature, history, travel; plus back numbers of the London Review of Books, The Guardian Weekly Review, History Today; and Italian books. You can enjoy our gardens, to sit, read and write; and stroll through the woods, and down to the river, to chase the Muse. "La Casa Inglese" is a non-smoking home.
