Wabi - Sabi Ecotourism offers 3 bungalows, 28 sq. mts. each, plus covered porche and upper solarium in a 2.000 sq. mts. private plot of land with a shared Mediterranean style low maintenance garden.
Each bungalow has:
- 2 small bedrooms with 2 beds each, 90 cm.
- 1 shower & basin .
- 1 w.c.
- 1 dining room with open plan kitchen with gas-stove, kitchen-ware etc.
- 16 sq. mts. covered deck with a table and benches and upper terrace with spectacular views
of the forests and the sunset over the ocean in the distance.
- Normally no sheets and towels are provided.
Wabi - Sabi Ecotourism: is a dream come true!
Jimmy Bryant, its owner, lives part of the year in Sierra de Aracena Natural Reserve, north Huelva, Spain. From there he works as a Personal Develpment trainer and coach both for companies and individuals, with the aim of making people happier with themselves, in their jobs and in personal relationships.
A big dream of me was to enjoy and share a place in the countryside, near a wild coast area, surrounded by forests where to lay in a hamoc in the shade and read favourite books. We wanted to be able to admire the sunset over the ocean in the distance.
The project was developed with minimun impact and environmentally friendly criteria:
- solar energy
- underground rain water storage
- waste water recycling
- organic compost
- total absence of concrete or cement foundations.
The 3 bungalows came from France, ready to be used. They are situated in private grounds of 2.000 square meters in front of a huge forest belonging to Breña Natural Park, only 2 miles away from the wild Mangueta beach where activities such as yoga, meditation, taichi, cooking, art or photography can be organized.
So Wabi - Sabi Ecotourism was born in 2.008.
Local Area DetailsWabi Sabi Ecotourism is situated in the Natural Park of La Brea in the middle of the triangle formed by Conil de la Frontera Vejer de la Frontera and Barbate It is surrounded by grass fields and in front of an old forest the Brea Natural Park Mature pine trees beautifully sculptured by the Levante wind and dirt tracks make the area lovely to explore walking cycling or by car Not far from the bungalows there is an abandoned church and amazing cliffs overlooking the ocean lovely for picnics or sunbathing This coast called Costa de la Luz the coast of light for the intensity of its light is one of the last unspoiled protected ones in South Europe One hour drive from Jerez de la Frontera and Gibraltar one and a half from Seville and a couple of hours from Mlaga makes this cosy place near to international airports but at the same time secluded from massive tourist areas In Tarifa 45 minutes away you can enjoy a busy night life or take a boat that in one hour takes you to Africa being in Morocco is like a travel back in time Sport activities This area is great for water sports and the wind that made Tarifa so famous allows the practice of amazing windsurf kitesurf surf sailing or kayaking There are magical places for scuba diving watching whales and dolphins or fishing but you must be prudent here because of the sea currents Horse riding on the beach paragliding mountain biking and jogging are other favourite activities During summer English speaking yoga classes chikung and even salsa dancing can make your holiday experience even better There are several first class golf courses in the area like Dehesa Montenmedio and luxury spas
