Nestling at the foot of the Pennines and enjoying uninterrupted views of the Lakeland Fells, Milburn Grange is an excellent base for walking, cycling (we are on both the Pennine and Cumbrian cycle-ways), touring (York; Edinburgh; Hadrian?s Wall; Scottish Borders; Dales; Lakes), or relaxing.
Our self-contained cottages (M6 20 mins.) have been converted from redundant barns. They are centrally heated, comfortably furnished and each has a fully equipped kitchen (microwave; built-in oven and hob; fridge; dishwasher) and colour TV. There is a fitted shower over the bath.
Stable Cottage, a part beamed cottage for 4 has a four-poster bed in the main bedroom and second twin bedded room. In addition, there is a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and irons in the communal laundry room.
Local Area DetailsUllswater, the most beautiful of the Lakes is 30 minutes by car.
Within easy access there are coarse fishing lakes, 2 golf courses, and riding stables.
Nearby (5 minutes walk)there is a village shop/Post Office/Garage and two pubs, both of which serve hearty meals.
