The Canal Du Midi with its tranquillity and sleepy villages with their lovely old churches & chateaux is a peaceful getaway from it all

The canal is lined with wine cellars for tastings and although the boat is fully equipped for cooking, for those who prefer not to cook onboard there are many restaurants & bars
The Esprit Franglais is situated at Capestang close to Beziers in the Languedoc region on the beautiful Canal Du Midi classed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its situation is ideal for those who don't want to brave the locks with all the other hirecraft, but close enough to certain routes with locks for those who prefer the challenge.All ages will enjoy this relaxing & fun holiday, (though children will be required to wear the lifejackets provided.)
This craft is not a small hireboat,having 3 cabins,1 aft bedroom ensuite with WC & a further 2 bedrooms forward with a separate shower room & separate WC. Though this craft could sleep 9 we consider it to be very comfortable for 6 and more realistic.

Please note that we take as much time as needed in a friendly way to ensure that the nominated captain (over 21) is confident and comfortable enough with handling the craft so that you enjoy the holiday
