This former Hotel has recently been converted.We have two gites at Grandmont, one suitable for up to four people, the other suitable for seven. We also have two Bed and Breakfast rooms with private bathroom. The gites can be let seperately or all together for larger parties

Grandmont is a unique gite comlex, ideally situated amongst the Monts D`Ambazac. One of the few areas of France that offers everything from extreme outdoor sports to just relaxing by the lake.
Renowned for its stunning views and breathtaking scenery. An area rich in history and culture, and for those who enjoy their food and drink, there is a superb range of local dishes and wines to enjoy.
Grandmont itself, is set amongst the forest of Ambazac. There are miles of unspoilt forest to walk and explore. You can use your mountain bikes to explore the tracks from your doorstep, horseride through the woods, spend the day fishing at one of the many lakes around the property. For the more adventurous, off road motorbikes tours can be arranged nearby or you can hire our road legal quad for the day....... or just bring a book and relax by the pool .

Local Area DetailsGrandmont itself is a small Hamlet near Saint Sylvestre in the Monts DAmbazac Located a short distance away is the medieval town of AmbazacThe town has a population of 5000 and is visited by the tour de france each year Ambazac itself is packed with things to do there is a very good restaurant as well as a number of bars and plenty of shops there are two large supermarkets In the mornings you can smell the freshly baked bread coming from the towns many bakeries The town revolves around its charming 13th Century church inside you will find two of the regions most beautiful and precious relics if its history you are looking for then a little nearer to us is one of Frances most important medieval site the Abbey of Grandmont There is a large lesuire centre a swimming lake with pedalos and water sports tennis and squash courts two riding schools all nearby and the popular lac de Jonas which has its own beach and is the most popular place to dip razes is our next nearest town which has several eateries A little further afield is Limoges the capital city of the Limousin A stunning city full of quaint streets and pavement cafes Imagine Paris but without the crowds and you have Limoges Spectacular buildings great shopping Limoges is also renowned for its great night life Pavement cafes open til late and then are many bars shows and restaurants It also famously known for its arts and crafts and of course its famous porcelain factories The railway station and its fountained gardens is a must see place Grandmont and the surrounding area are an outdoor enthusists paradise Horse riding walking mountain biking off road motorbiking and quad biking all start at your doorstep making use of the miles upon miles of chemins and tracks that run through the forests all are very well signed but maps and advice are available Apart from our horses we also have a road legal quad bike which is for hire by the hour half day or day It is licensed to carry two people you just need a full driving licence For those who want it a little more relaxing we have the gardens and pool to laze away the day There are plenty of relaxing walks around the lakes all straight from your doorstep
