Direct buses takes you to Budapest in less than 50 minutes and for those with car, downtown is only 20 minutes a way. Sóskút is an idyllic hungarian countryside village. Its few thousands of residents, among them descendants of the former Austrian-Hungarian royal family, live in their lives in this beautiful village surrounded by vineyards and large natural habitats. The house itself is a typical rural hungarian countryside home with grapewines climbing its roof and allthough renewed, with the charm and layout of a traditional hungarian home. The house comfortably sleeps 5 persons and it's location makes it ideal for visiting Budapest, the famous lake Balaton as well as rest of Hungary or any of its 7 neighbooring countries. In Hungary everything is near, and even the neighbooring capitals Vienna and Bratislava are only 2 hours away! This charming 2 room house is located in Sóskút, a historical and pictoresque village, 25 km from Budapest. The house itself is newly partly renovated but still has its typical hungarian countryside charm. It also has a beautiful common yard with the neighbouring house to relax in. The house is about 55 sqm, it consist of one spacious main room with a queensized bed and a single bed as well as a TV unit. The second room is a smaller room with fullsized bunkbeds. In additionthere is a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom with a corner bathtub. The think stone walls keeps the house cool and fresh even on very hot summer days but it also keeps the heat in on chilly winter mornings. Main room The main room is opening to the kicthen, its windows facing the garden. This room is for sleeping and relaxing, it has a queensized bed, a single bed, TV and a an ethernet cable for fast broadband internet connection. Kitchen The entrance of the house is in traditional manner directly into the kitchen which in this house is large room that consist of the entrance area, a dining area as well as fridge/freezer and cupboards. There is plenty of space for cooking and the kitchen has a gas stove and oven as well as a microwave. The kitchen is of course fully equipped with pots, pans and all utensils one might need as well as of course plates, glass etc. A few steps from the kitchen and we enter the right part of the house, orginally built as a winecellar and therefor this part of the house is an actual part of the side of the hill. This keeps the house cool on hot summerdays and keeps the heat inside during the winter. This part of the house was renewed and reconstructed in 2005. Bathroom The bathroom is surpsingly spacious with tiled floors and walls. It consists of zink,WC and a large corner bathtub as well as a towel dryer. Coviniently located electric outlets near the mirror for you hair dryer or shaving machine. Fresh large and small towels will be waiting for you upon arrival. Bedroom The last room in the house is the smaller bedroom. Located next to the bathroom with a window facing the garden this is a cosy room where you can clearly see by the shape of the wall that this was once a wine cellar. The room has a bunkbed which consist of two fullzied 90x200 cm beds, suitable for adults as well as children. Hungary has the perfect mix of old and new, east and west, ancient history and modern history. It's welcoming and warm just like the hungarian people.
