Charming Monmouthshire holiday cottage set in its own delightful cottage garden, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty betwixt the Wye Valley, Vale of Usk and royal Forest of Dean and close to the popular border town of Chepstow, described as the true gateway to Wales.
Converted from a small stone barn the property has a traditional country feel. Centrally heated and carpeted throughout and having a woodburning stove makes it particularly cosy during the winter months.
2 bedrooms one double the other single with plenty of space in either room for a comfortable put you up for the 4th person. Bathroom with full length bath and overhead shower. A fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons plus several china tea sets and a traditional blue and white china dinner service completing that home from home feel.
Outside is a lovingly tended cottage garden filled with a lawn area and a patio; a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful views that surround the property.
Off road parking for 2 vehicles and storage for bikes.
Linen and towels provided plus little extras include a pair of binoculars for watching the wildlife, an outside tap to wash those muddy boots and bikes, paperback books, TV DVD and CD player and even and old gramophone for playing those 78's.
The whole property has recently been decorated and is furnished with period furniture.
Monmouthshire cottage has been awarded 4 stars by Visit Wales.

The Crown at Whitebrook (in the top world 50) and The Walnut Tree. Plus there is the Abergavenny Food Festival which is considered by some as one of the best in the UK. Locally Chepstow has a variety of good restaurants.
About WalkingThe National Long Distance footpath of Offa's Dyke and the Wye Valley walk are only a short distance away as wells as numerous trails from the cottage to explore. There is such variety from River and canal walks, hills and mountains - Pen Y Fan being the largest mountain in South Wales, Waterfalls, historic trails are all waiting to be discovered. The owner of Monmouthshire cottage can offer local maps and guide books plus trasnport if required.
