Local Area DetailsThe house is situated in a hamlet in Breville ten minutes drive from Cognac. The hamlet has no shops or bars but there is a tabac and a great restaurant in Breville, which is a five minute drive or a twenty minute walk across fields of sunflowers. There is a great park locally which houses a fantastic lido and kids activities. It is an ideal destination for those who enjoy pottering about French markets going swimming in lakes or lidos. Those who enjoy cooking or chilling in the garden or playing badminton or cycling locally. The peace and beauty of this small hamlet is a restful location. Cognac (ten minutes away) is a great destination for the market shopping bars restaurants and those that enjoy history and the history of cognac. There is a great local neighbor who makes fantastic Cognac and Pineau that one can visit and sample before buying. The sea is a forty minute drive, One can head for one of the islands on the West Coast or drive up to La Rochelle for its amazing shopping. There are some great little coves not far from St George De Didonne for a days picnic or lunch out. There is loads to do or if you prefer nothing to do the hammock in the garden might suit you perfectly It truly is a lovely spot in the Charente.
