The M4, M5 and M6 motorways have made travel to Cornwall simple and straightforward.
Within Cornwall itself, the two major inbound routes, the A30 and A38 continue to improve, with fast dual carriageways as far as Bodmin, and most of the way to Penzance.
The easiest route is to join the M5 which will take you to Exeter. From Exeter take either the A30 or A38 into Cornwall, depending on your final destination.
You can plan your route by visiting www.theaa.com and click on the Driving Directions option for a tailor made travel plan with timings and mileage.

For information on traffic conditions and roadwork's throughout the UK or in Cornwall visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews
These delays are likely to be grater at peak times (i.e. Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday weekends). If at all possible we would advise visitors to consider travelling outside the most congested times which are 0900 – 1800 by either making an early start to their journey or delaying it until later in the day.

About Scenery/Beauty Spots
Just half a mile away from Geevor Tin Mine is the National Trust owned and restored Levant Mine & Beam Engine. Perched on the cliff edge is a tiny engine house in which an historic beam engine is now once again in full steam. There is an underground tour and also on display are winding and pumping shafts with a recently restored electric winding engine. The steam engine is operational from the beginning of March to the end October and full details can be seen on the National Trust website. A day out at Geevor Tim Mine and Levant Mine & Beam Engine is an absolute must for anyone interested in Cornwall's internationally famous industrial heritage.
