Property Details of New Hampshire Cabin

Loch Lyme Lodge is a traditional family owned and operated (since 1946) New England summer resort. Different types of accommodations are available. There are rooms with shared baths in the Main Lodge and one and two bedroom cabins available on the bed and breakfast plan which includes a full American style breakfast and daily maid service. There are a dozen one to four bedroom cabins with kitchenettes or full kitchens which are available on a weekly housekeeping plan without meals. These cabins are rustic with no phones or televisions but are fully furnished and have fireplaces. Firewood is provided at no additional charge. The Loch Lyme Lodge dining rooms serve breakfast and dinner daily during high season (late June to Labor Day in early September). A snack bar is available for lunches or ice creams cones during high season.

There also is a three bedroom house available for weekly rental. This is located on a quiet hillside just under a mile from the Main Lodge. It is fully furnished with television, telephone, washer and dryer, and air conditioning in the dining room area.

Our staff includes international college students, many from the U.K., as well as local high school and college students.

Local Area Details

The local area is known as the Upper Valley Area of Vermont and New Hampshire. It is a lovely region along the Connecticut River with many traditional New England small towns to explore. It is a good home base for day trips to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and the Green Mountains in Vermont. Hiking, cycling, antique shopping, bird watching, golfing, horseback riding, sight seeing, hot air balloon rides, tennis, swimming, fishing, and photography are just some of the many summer activities enjoyed by our guests.

We are located two and a half hours north of Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts and about six hours north of New York City. A car is necessary in this area of New Hampshire as public transportation is limited.
