When Farran House was originally built in the mid 18th Century the owner must have been fascinated with the sights of Southern Ireland. He would have taken out his map and ruler to carefully calculate the most convenient location from which to visit all the most intersting sights, after many hours of plotting and triangulating all his lines would have converged on a single point. It was here that he built Farran House.
