Wilson Ranches Retreat Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Wilson Ranches three miles west of Fossil, Oregon. The seven room guesthouse is a 1910 Sears Roebuck kit home fully remodelled in 1999 by owners Phil and Nancy Wilson. WRR is sited in a beautiful valley surrounded with juniper and sagebrush covered basalt hills. Wilson Ranches 9,000 acres provide guests with a great place to unwind, hike, horseback ride, or take a 4x4 ranch tour. Guests can also be involved in various cattle related ranch activites, trail drives, brandings, or round-ups. Located at the gateway to the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument WRR makes a great place to headquarter while exploring the three units of the Monument. A public fossil digging site is located within a five minute drive of WRR. The new John Day Fossil Beds Interpretive Center is a one hour drive from the ranch. This is a very interesting geological area with great regional diversity.
