Local Area DetailsOnly 1 1/2 hours east of Faro on the south western border of Spain with Portugal some 20 miles inland from the Atlantic border town of Ayamonte. Los Olivos is located in remote country on the Spanish side of the beautiful Rio Guadiana. The river travels over 400 miles through Spain and Portugal before flowing into the Atlantic on the Costa de la Luz. We are about 5 miles south of Sanlucar del Guadiana a timeless Spanish village. Nearby beaches of Isla Christina, Isla Canela, golf courses in Spain and Portugal. 1 1/2 hours from football stadium in Faro. 2 hours from Seville, rio Tinto mines and Donana nature reserve. We offer sailing cruises, river trips, 4x4 safaris, fishing, meditation, walking, horse riding, kayaking, mountain biking.
