Superbly appointed house with uninterrupted sea views across Morecambe Bay, 30 minutes from the heart of the Lake District National Park and all of it’s attractions. Close to the lovely market town of Ulverston.

Detached, the house benefits from gardens front and rear and a large private driveway.

Large open plan living/dining room and kitchen with flat screen TV, freeview, DVD and CD player. The kitchen has all the usual appliances including an integral dishwasher and microwave. The electric oven and hob are in the island unit allowing social interaction whilst cooking or pouring wine! There are two double bedrooms (including the master) and a shower room on the same level.

Downstairs there are a further 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and a second sitting room. There is a Nintendo WII with some games, a large selection of books and family board games available in the sitting room.

All bedrooms are equipped with TV’s and freeview channels. One of the upstairs bedrooms has two single electric beds.

All linen and towels provided.

WiFi is available, bring your own laptop.

Through the integral garage (accessed from the ground floor) is a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The rear garden has two large decked areas, outdoor seating including sun loungers, a summer house and a hot tub.

In the garage are 4 bikes – 3 adult and 1 child for you to use.

This is our family home so has everything that a home should have.

Local Area Details

The Lake District National Park with it’s 16 major lakes (including Windermere, the largest lake in England) is amongst the most beautiful areas in the world.

There are so many places to visit and things to do – Wordsworth Country; Beatrix Potter Country; Lakes steamers and ferries; stately homes and museums; art galleries; castles and roman forts; pre-historic stone circles; abbeys and priories; forests; stunning Lakeland towns and villages and the local Buddhist Temple.

The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is an experience not to be missed. Hand feed giraffes, penguins, kangaroos and emus. Watch rare Sumatran tigers, lions and jaguars climb for their daily feed. Listen to regular talks about the animals from experienced keepers. Walk amongst the Lemurs who roam free around the park!

Late summer events include –Cartmel Races (27th-29th Aug); Grasmere Show (28th Aug); Kendal Mint Fest (2nd-4th Sept); The Westmorland County Show (8th Sept); Kendal Torchlight Carnival (9th Sept)

Very locally, Piel Island offers a unique experience. With a castle dating from the early 14th century, an Inn and a genuine King and Queen (Steve and Sheila)! Catch John the Ferryman’s boat for your 5 minute journey across Walney Channel and go back in time.
