Bed and Breakfast in Mediterranean, Turkey
Property Details of Mediterranean Bed and Breakfast
The Phoenix hotel is named after the mythological bird which is said to have lived in this region.People who have in the past visited the well-known Seckin restaurant in Kalkan will already know Cetin and his wife Emire, who together ran the restaurant for 8 years, and will be familiar with the delicious authentic eastern turkish cuisine that they were renowned for. Cetin has, for the last 2 years been workıng as chef for the Regency Hotel, a very well regarded establishment, and will be cooking all meals for the Phoenix.Over the years, we have in the course of business visited many hotels in Turkey and Europe and spoken to tourists gathering their ideas and suggestions regarding their hotel requirements. As a result of thıs market research we decided to make our hotel slightly different from the rest in the area and designated half of our rooms luxury standard. We made them twice the size of the others with a separate bedroom and living area and furnished them in traditional Ottoman style with old rugs, kilims and objects from that era

Local Area DetailsKalkan, an unspoiled hideaway
This classically sleepy fishing village has become better served by road and sea over the years, but lost none of its simple charm.
The Kalkan foundation was set up by the villages in 1989 in order to preserve the town 's architectural heritage, so you won't find any noisy discos, big hotels or loud traffic here.Whole days can be spent wandering along the maze of cobbled streets which overlook the spectacular bay and contation old stone houses with ornate balconies and shady flower filled courtyards.
The many highly individual shops sell beautiful carpets, fine silver and gold jewelery, ceramics, antiques at prices you many find hard to resist.
In addition to its own beach the famous Patara and Kaputas beaches are also easily accessible. There are also a variety of beac clubs, all in beautiful settings, some of which are only a short boat ride away
