An extremely spacious deluxe villa offering accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of Kalkan and give the privacy of a more rural setting. The villa shares a large swimming pool (7m x 3m) with one other and for large groups the two villas can be booked together as one accommodation. The villa is not suitable for very small children or the infirm.

Newly built to exacting standards, the villa features handmade Turkish furnishings with a contemporary twist. The villa has a shared swimming pool and spacious sun lounging terrace. Cleverly designed, the accommodation's two main bedrooms are situated in the cooler downstairs part of the villa. The double bedroom has its own en suite with luxurious walk-in shower whereas the twin room has an en suite with bath. On the upper floor, there is an extra wc and another bedroom with single bed and a double sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with washing machine, large fridge-freezer and full oven whilst the very spacious open-plan living-dining room looks out through a large picture window to sea views and sliding doors lead out onto a verandah running the entire width of the house.

Stairs lead up to a large private roof terrace with barbecue and from here you will experience something quite unique: magnificent panoramic views not only of Kalkan Bay, but also of Patara Beach and across to the Taurus Mountains. They are, particularly at sunset, truly out of this world.

The villa is located a 3-minute drive from Kalkan's centre and we would recommend car hire to those staying here.

Local Area Details

If you are seeking a little more from your holiday than just sun, sea and sand, then look no further. Kalkan and Kas not only have these in abundance but also a fascinating history to enrich the mind, exotic sounds and smells to refresh the senses and wonderful cuisine to tempt the palate.

Having escaped the excessive development prevalent on other parts of the coastline, Kalkan and Kas are unspoilt and endearing harbour towns living a simple way of life. Fishermen depart at dawn to bring in their daily catch for the harbourfront restaurants, locals sit in the cafés sipping tea and playing backgammon and the haunting call to prayer rings out from the mosque five times a day. Although traditional in many ways, you will find English widely spoken and there is nothing the locals like better than to practice theirs with you over a glass of tea.

Sun worshippers will appreciate the pebbled town beach as well as numerous private 'beach clubs' built into the cliffs from where you can dive in and snorkel or swim in crystal clear water. Or take a gulet (traditional wooden boat) trip out into the bay and feast on a barbecue of fresh fish - which you may have just helped catch! For the more adventurous, there are a host of watersports to enjoy including water skiing and jet skiing, and the crystal clear waters reputedly make it one of the best coasts in Europe for scuba diving.

Those seeking an experience to enrich the mind can set off for the day in a hired car or open-top jeep to explore, since Kalkan is located in the heart of Lycia and the Roman and Lycian ruins are too numerous to count. Pack a picnic, head for the hills and you may find yourself sitting on a 2,000 year-old ruin looking out over stunning natural surroundings.

If you do manage to lure yourself away from your poolside, then make sure you are back by dusk when the sky melts into pink, purple and violet hues as the sun sets over the bay. Then, the starry sky provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner at one of the many sophisticated restaurants.
