Sherrill Farm is a superb place for the entire family. Nestling in wonderful rolling countryside on the edge of Dartmoor and midway between Tavistock and Launceston on the Devon and Cornwall border. Approached by private driveway and set in 16 acres of beautiful and unspoilt Devon countryside, Sherrill Farm is the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. The facilities on the farm estate include a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool, fishing lakes and tennis court. There is also a picnic area and summerhouse along the banks of the ponds, a beautiful area offering peace and tranquillity. Sherrill Farm is also perfectly situated for exploring North and South Devon and Cornwall. The Farmhouse is the original house for Sherrill Farm dating back over 300 years with many original features including large slate flag-stoned floors in the kitchen and hall, inglenooks, one with the original bread oven. It is a large, spacious house ideally sleeping 14-20 people, suitable for dual family holidays or large parties of friends. The main lounge contains comfortable sofas, armchairs and a large woodburner. There is a second lounge, featuring a lovely Victorian fireplace with hand-painted tiles. Both lounges have a music system, a large flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD-player and free WiFi. There is a large dining room with a dining table in addition to the massive pine table in the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with cookers, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster etc. Just off the kitchen is a utility room with additional fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Two further rooms complete the ground floor; a double bedroom and guest toilet. The bedroom has a large 5ft double bed, an en suite shower room and toilet with underfloor heating. It can be made into a family room with the addition of 2 single beds if required. Upstairs are six bedrooms: *One with a 5ft antique four-poster double bed with en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle & toilet *One double with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath & toilet *One room with 4 single beds, *One room with twin beds *Two rooms with 3 single beds in each, one with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath & toilet, Finally, there is a separate family bathroom with shower over bath & toilet. To the rear of The Farmhouse is a private tree-lined lawned garden with a good-sized patio large enough to accommodate three BBQs and all guests. In 2012 a Hot Tub seating up to 8 guests was installed on the terrace, suitable for use all year round.
