A lovely, single-storey villa with open-plan lounge/dining-room, well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and private swimming pool. The lounge has two settees, two easy chairs, CD/cassette mini system, terrestrial TV and video. From the lounge, patio doors lead to a sunny terrace with four sunloungers and a shaded area with table and chairs for eating al fresco (gas barbecue available for the use of guests). The dining-area has a good-sized table with four chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a four-ring electric hob, full oven, microwave cooker, fridge/freezer, electric kettle and toaster. There is also an iron and ironing board. The large master bedroom has twin beds (side-by-side) and generous wardrobe space. There is access to a small, private patio/drying area from this bedroom. The en-suite bathroom has a corner bath with shower, toilet and hand washbasin. The second bedroom is twin-bedded and is also generously provided with fitted wardrobes. Separate shower room with toilet, bidet and hand washbasin. The villa stands on a large, sunny plot and its crowning glory is the secluded, 46’ x 23’ (approx.), walled swimming pool with four sunloungers. Parque Holandes is an urbanisation on the east coast road and is situated between Rosario, the island’s capital and main port, and the resort town of Corralejo. Parque Holandes has one restaurant, the Don Pepe, situated on the main road about 10 – 15 minutes’ walk from most of our accommodation, the Italian Jazz Café, the Piccolo Bar and the Bar Don Benito (pizzas and a choice of two set meals every day). The Parque Holandes main reception also has a bar and snack bar. There is a mini-market (the nearest supermarkets are in Corralejo, 15 minutes away by car) and a cash dispensing machine. Other facilities include riding stables and the Centro Mirak which has a swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty salon and five different types of hydro-massage (as well as conventional massage). An hourly bus service (main road bus stop) stops at the beaches and Corralejo. Although Parque Holandes is close to the sea, there are no beaches near by. However, a mile-and-a-half to the north are the “Grandes Playas”, some of the best beaches in Europe, with nearly seven miles of fine, white sand and spectacular sand-dunes. The most difficult decision is which part of this fabulous beach to use but with miles of uninterrupted sand you can be either dressed or “au naturel”, on your own or with others - the choice is yours!
