Property Details of Alps Chalet

We took ownership of this lovely traditional swiss-style chalet in November 1999. We have since invested in new furniture and fittings to ensure an enjoyable holiday in comfort. The chalet has been split into three independent apartments sleeping 5, 6 & 10 with no shared entrances. Each contains full kitchen and bathroom facilities. Ample private parking is available plus storage for any bikes or sports equipment on the ground floor.

Chalet la Vardaf (The squirrel)is a cosy, welcoming home from home with excellent views of the Dranse Valley. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline rush or a quiet, leisurely break – this is the place for you.

The chalet is set in a residential part of town, convenient for access to everything you will need for a great holiday without the noise or bustle directly on your doorstep. Less than five minutes’ walk into the hamlet of Montriond and a ten minute stroll in the other direction into Morzine.

Accommodation:

YELLOW (Ground Floor) Sleeps 4/6.

* Ideal for a family or two couples.
* Light and airy Living Room at the front of the chalet offering fantastic
views across the valley. Sofa bed to sleep 2.
* Large, newly fitted kitchen with ample dining space.
* Traditional pine-clad bedroom with a double bed and high single above,
plus a further single bed.
* Fully fitted shower room & wc.


RED (Middle Floor) Sleeps 8/10.

* The largestof the apartments offering very comfortable accommodation and superb views across the valley.
* Great for 2 families or a group of friends.
* Spacious Lounge with a large open fireplace and Dining Area for relaxed
meals. French windows open onto the main balcony. One sofa bed can be converted to a double bed if required.
* Three generous bedrooms. The first can sleep up to 4 with a double plus a high single bunk bed above and an further single. The second with twin beds. The third offers a standard double bed.
* Modern kitchen with a breakfast area and French doors opening to balcony.
* Two recently refurbished Bathrooms, one with bath and one with Shower


PURPLE (Top Floor) Sleeps up to 5

* Ideal for a family or two couples.
* Private Entrance from the rear of the chalet
* Large Living Room with open fireplace and Dining Area. French Windows opening onto a small, sunny balcony.
* The bedroom has a double bed and a single and the lounge has a sofa bed which can be converted into a double bed.
* Modern Galley Kitchen with eating area.
* Separate Toilet and handbasin.
* Bathroom with second WC.

General
We provide bed linen, tea towels and bath mats at no extra charge. However, you should bring personal towels for use during your stay.

The large, heated garage is used for storage of all equipment. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron & board for your convenience. Each apartment has a Radio/Cassette/CD Player.

Local Area Details

Morzine is a charming Market Town set in the spectacular Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. An easy drive from the French Ports or just over an hour’s drive from Geneva Airport. Primarily known for skiing holidays, it is becoming equally recognized as a superb base for summer holidays offering more activities than anyone could possibly fit into just one visit. An ideal venue for either winter sports or summer activities.

Your Winter Holiday:
Morzine is part of the huge Portes du Soleil circuit. A unique skiing area comprising 12 linked resorts straddling the borders of France and Switzerland, it leads from the villages of Savoie to the landscapes of the Valais. With 650kms of sliding and gliding, this is the largest ski area in the world. Climbing from 1000 to 2466m, the 204 ski lifts will take you up to 279 interconnecting slopes... all accessible with a single ski pass!
