Dower Cottage is a large country house in an area of outstanding natural beauty just below The South Downs Way and is in an ideal position for walking, cycling or mountain biking. There are six bedrooms, two of which are en-suite family rooms, a twin room, single room and two double rooms. All rooms have wonderful views over the gardens and all have colour televisions, hairdryers and dressing gowns. There is also a library for our guests to use as a sitting room with many books to browse through and some board games and puzzles. Breakfast is cooked on our 4 oven Aga and is taken in the dining room overlooking the garden and the bird table that attracts many birds such as blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, nuthatchesmistle thrushes, blackbirds and robins. We also have many squirrels and pheasants to entertain us at breakfast.

Local Area Details

Our lovely home is very well placed for garden lovers, we have many National Trust gardens nearby, Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park and Nymans being just a few. For livlier purstuits, Brighton is only 15mins away with the Lanes for shopping, The Royal Pavilion for visiting and the Palace Pier and seafront for people watching. For steam train enthusiasts The Blubell Railway is only 30mins away and for the historians, apart from The Royal Pavilion, there is Arundel Castle and Bodiam Castle within 30mins drive.
