About Skiingdownhill and cross country skiing is possible at 6 km distance on the Erbeskopf ( our highest hill ) depending on the snow situation. Skiing cannot be guaranteed in the winter, as we are located in a low mountain range.

About Weather/Climate/TemperatureThe house is located in a low mountain range. In the summer, it is cooler and windier than in the valleys, in the winter there may be up to 40 cm of snow, however snow cannot be guaranteed.
About TransportA bus stop is 100 yards away. There is bus connection to Trier, Hermeskeil and Birkenfeld/Idar-Oberstein, but not on the weekends. The nearest railway station is Neubrücke at 16 km distance. A car is strongly recommended !
About Airport InformationAirport Frankfurt-Hahn (Ryanair) at 40 km (27 miles) distance. Airports at Luxembourg (80 km-54 miles) and Saarbrücken (70 km-44 miles)
About FishingTrout fishing is available at 1km distance in the small ponds of the "Forellenhof". Lake Bostal also offers fishing, however, for both places a German fishing license is required.
