1 Bedroom Apartments Canary Islands

Apartment in Tenerife, Canary Islands

Property Details of Tenerife Apartment

There are 3 one bedroom apartments (A210 second floor, A310 third floor, A605 sixth floor) in Aparthotel with swimming pool, bar, restaurant and 24 hour reception. Balcony facing south with sea views and sun. Centrally located for all amenities. 15 minutes from airport in taxi, 3 minutes walk from beach at Puerto Colon, marina. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.

With sunshine on your balcony before midday, until sunset at night and views to the ocean and marina at the popular Torviscas area you will find this complex and the location of the apartment all you need to enjoy your holidays.

Each apartment is 1 bedroomed, consisting of 2 single beds in the bedroom, 1 bed-settee in the living room, which pulls out into a double bed and a further single sofa. The bathroom with shower, bath, toilet, bidet, W.H.B., is fully equipped. Hot + cold water is provided via the time-switch which controls on-off electric water heater.

The kitchenette off the living room has an electric hob, refrigerator, sink, etc. and the usual range of kitchen appliances/gadgets, etc. Socket outlets are 13 Amp UK style so no adaptors are needed.

Both the bedroom and living room have 3 speed pull cord ‘coolie’ fans with lights. Separate pull cords for fan or light or both.

The balcony of each apartment has sun for most of the day, and overlooks the kidney shaped swimming pool, with sea views. Each have two sun reclining chairs, along with a table, four chairs, and a fold out drying line. At the swimming pool there are sun loungers, which are shared, on a first come basis. The pool is scaled for kid’s shallow end, to adults deep end.

The apartments have a telephone, which receives incoming calls only.

Each apartment has a safe box and its key is provided with door key for your use during your holiday. The reception has safety deposit boxes for money/valuables, located adjacent to the lift doors, which are available to rent if need be. The reception has a telephone booth from which you can make direct calls to anywhere, on request to reception. It is simpler and more cost effective to call from blue telephone booths on streets.

There is a coin operated laundry in the garage area near reception. There is also a laundry in the San Eugenio shopping centre across the road, located upstairs in the centre, ask for Rob.

The building has two (2) lifts which serve all floors.

Within the apartment it has the usual furnitures and fixtures and also the following items;

Hair Drier and tongs
Ironing Board & Iron
Step Stool
Inflatable Pump & Blow-Ups
Sun Canopy and Pole for beach use
Cool Bag
Bread Toaster
Sandwich Maker – Toaster
Electric Kettle
Microwave
Remote TV with Satellite connection to world-wide channels
CD Hi-Fi Radio player

Each apartment is provided with change of bed linens and towels each week and these are exchanged, normally on a Friday or Tuesday, dependant on duration of stay. General cleaning and tidiness is the responsibility of the apartment visitors. Apartment shall be cleaned and ready for next visitors upon your departure. Normal exit time is 10.00 am upon day of departure. The apartment has one bath towel and one hand towel per person per week. I suggest that you take with you adequate towels as being hot, showering, pool, beach has much need and towels are used more than many unused clothes taken with you !!

Early morning wake-up call can be provided by advising reception the night before and also booking of taxi or they can be flagged down anytime, anywhere, or don’t bother going to bed! Taxi time to/from airport is 15 minutes approx.

Banks and money exchange facilities are all available near at hand with +/- differing rates.

Local Area Details

Playa de las Americas is a popular choice with British holidaymakers, basking in the sunny south of the island. There is always plenty to do, whether it is splashing out at the fabulous water park or skydiving at Skypark, water sports, browsing around the shops, relaxing in the cafes and the restaurants, golf (there are three 18-hole courses on the island), or at night revelling in the numerous bars and night clubs, many of which are located in the famous Veronicas centre. There is a wide choice of unusual dark volcanic sun kissed beaches which are also very popular

Food and Entertainment
There are a very wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. to keep you fed and watered, but for a selection only of many tried and tested close at hand, you might want to sample;

Rainbow - Just round the corner of complex, 2nd restaurant next to the Irish Fiddler. Tell him you are friends of Alan & Margarita ! (Carry outs also available)

Harleys - Just down the road, 100 metres from complex with American diner atmosphere (more expensive but BIG portions)

Chaplins and Ship - Canarian owned & run; located across the road to the red/brown brick building, carrying on right along same side for 200 metres. Try not getting “sucked into” others as this can happen although all can provide food etc.

Eugens - Just across the road, being a range of food, drink, laughter, entertainment, singers, impersonators, etc., you name it – it’s there ! Check billboards for nights.

Jumbo - Good Chinese restaurant; located on one level down at Puerto Colon centre at seafront. (You can see Puerto Colon from balcony). Ask for free wine!

Puerto Colon Beach + Marfils - Restaurants International cuisine served to good European standard. (On ground floor of Puerto Colon looking out to sea - Music!).

Amanda’s or Tucans - Just keep going from Harley’s for another 200 metres and it’s on the other side of street. Good nightly entertainment. Food is O.K. Check billboards for nights.

Hoppers - Karaoke bar on ground floor of Puerto Colon. Full of “Scots – Brits”

Irish Fiddler - Booze, music, smoke, football, entertainment, etc (tucked into the Los Geranios hill climb).

Los Geranios - Check the menus and try it, but it’s too quiet for me as mainly Europeans on packages.

Fried Chicken carry out - Try a “Family Box” for a good feast if you simply want to dine in and relax on balcony at night. (Across the road to right hand side).

ELVIS and other impersonators yeah, the singer! He lives and has various formats and qualities as seen and heard in many bars!

Shopping
An outside ‘flea market’ of clothing, jewellery, fashions, house stuffs, souvenirs, etc. is held each Thursday & Saturday from 9 am – 3pm at Torviscas Market. (A must for cheap/copied; but usable items!!)

A main Mercadona supermarket is located only 100 metres away, down escalators to lower shopping mall in the red/brown building located on the right side as you go out of the complex. Foods, drinks, etc. are most economically priced there. (It is similar to large Somerfield, Asda, Sainsburys etc. type UK supermarket.) Normally open 9am to 9pm.

Duty free goods are considered cheaper in supermarket / Spanish Style / local markets, etc. than UK airports or in-flight service. Take your in-flight magazine and compare to local shops / markets. “Spanish Style”, shops are recommended for booze, fags, souvenirs.

Sightseeing / Trips
Brochures for full holiday excursions, places to go and see, things to do, etc. are available at the aparthotel reception, and a holiday guide book is in the apartment which gives details of many different entertainment / bars / restaurants local to Los Geranios.

Car hire is available at reception and also from two other companies, across the road. A typical car hire price for Tenerife would be a small Renault or Fiat for 3 days for less than £50 GBP.

The awesome presence of Spain's largest peak, Mount Teide is a constant reminder of Tenerife's volcanic heritage. The colours found on Tenerife are terrific. Palm trees and banana plantations form the backdrop to all kinds of tropical flowers and shrubs, and you'll also find quite a colourful bunch of people on the island too!

Octopus Aqua Park
The Octopus Aqua park is situated above Playa de las Americas, with large saltwater pools, hydro slides, etc. it’s a great day out.

The Loro Parque
Translated this means ‘Parrot Park’, but you will find much more than talking birds here. One of the best days out in Tenerife, the Loro Parque is in Puerto del la Cruz, in the north of the island. There are regular buses from most resorts, but if you want to be adventurous and not be tied to a timetable, you can find it easily by car.

Skypark
Pools, slides, rides, etc for kids
Feel like hurling yourself into the air on a piece of elastic? Why not try visiting the Sky park close by for an adrenaline filled day!

Golf Courses
There are four local golf courses:

Playa de las Americas Golf
Golf Costa Adeje
Golf Del Sur
Amarilla Golf
