A newly built Madeiran Style villa available since 2004 with stunning views and sounds of sea below.
Casa Nolina has twin beds and hand built fitted wardrobes. There are patio doors to the villa's terrace and when guests open the shutters they can sit in bed and watch the waves. All linen provided.
Open-plan sitting room/dining room/kitchen with patio doors to to terrace giving sea and cliff views. The T.V is linked to cable and there is a selection of guides, books and games. Whilst there is a table and chairs it is hoped that many of the meals can be taken outside on the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped with oven,hob,extractor,microwave and refrigerator. A small utility room has a washing machine,iron and clothes drying frame.
The bathroom has a WC,hand-basin,bidet and bath with over-shower. There is a shaver point and all towels ,hair-dryer etc. are provided.
NOTE this property has stairs access to an elevated site and is not recommended for people with limited mobility.
Local Area DetailsCasa Nolina is just 300ft. above sea-level on the sheltered south coast where the sub-tropical climate allows visitors to enjoy warm weather all year round. Located a short walk from Calheta's beach,future marina, hotel, shops and restaurants guests preferring not to hire a car have plenty to explore locally.
One of the favourite attractions for visitors is the irrigation system known as Levadas beside which are public footpaths. These watercourses provide walkers with over 2000kms. of accessible mountain walks through spectacular countrysde. The sea temperature aided by the Gulf Stream permits sea swimming throughout the year. A variety of watersports can be enjoyed together with big game and sea fishing.
Gardeners will marvel at the exotic plants grown on the south coast which thrive in the sub-tropical climate.
