heritage home from the late 1890's. It has been lovingly restored over 4
years and a whole new suite was created in the old Italian winery on the
ground floor. The massive foundations are still exposed and the walls are
covered in bright mexican tile. The suite has a meditteranean flavour in the
decor.It is pepperd with windows and full of light.

Local Area Details

The Acorn suite is just 2 mins by car to Downtown ( 2 KM) or about a 10 min
bus ride. A unique 15-20 min stroll through Chinatown and gastown takes you
straight into the core of our city. Or you can cycle on the seawall as we
are 10 minutes walk to the path that eventually leads around Stanley Park one way- or over to
Granville Island on the other. You can also drive 2 minutes or walk 10, towards the East
side and discover our Little Italy- Commercial drive area, a trendy coffee
bar filled area - with the last of the hippies that haven't discovered we
are out of the 60's yet.
The neighborhood of Strathcona, where the Acorn is located is a safe, quiet
area, a stones throw from the hustle and bustle. It is Vancouvers first
neighborhood, and many historic houses still stand.
We have a wonderful bakery, Italian deli and a fantastic 208 flavour !!gelato
parlour within 1 or 2 blocks of the suite.
