Take day trips: Jacksonville Zoo; Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens; the Kingsley Plantation, Fla's oldest-standing plantation; Mayport and the Mayport Ferry- one of the oldest fishing villages in the nation and the ferry is a popular way to reach Amelia Island; Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art - permanent collection of art by Louise Nevelson; Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier- this 983-ft-long pier has long been a popular spot for anglers, surfers and sightseers.
