St.Croix is the largest of the United States Virgin Islands. With 84 sq miles of gently rolling hills and beautiful beaches, including the Buck Island national underwater park, it is the laid back answer to your first or repeat Caribbean vacation. Discovered by Columbus on November 14, 1493, its history sparkle under dominance by seven countries till Denmark sold it to the USA in 1917. Once an island of planters, it is dotted with the ruins and restoration of over 100 sugar mills and great houses. The owner residence dates back to 1797. St. Croix has 3 golf courses, all within 15" drive from the cottage. The driving is on the left side but it is quickly mastered thanks to US standard vehicles and slow paced wide roads. Whether sightseeing, snorkeling, diving, enjoying the many excellent restaurants offering cuisine from around the world, exploring or just relaxing, St. Croix will titillate your senses and rejuvenate your mind and body.
