Mas de Lauzieres is an enchanting renovated Mas in a hamlet amongst vineyards with views of the Cevennes Mountains in the distance. Recently refurbished in contemporary farmhouse style, the house comfortably accommodates 10 people (plus a baby - a travel cot is provided). The house is light and airy and has access from the open plan living/dining room through glass doors onto the large terrace, swimming pool, 3000m2 garden and private vineyard belonging to the Mas. On the terrace is a large table with seating for 12 people, where you can enjoy leisurely lunches cooked on the stone barbecue on long hot sunny days, or relax with an aperitif watching the sun set over the Cevennes mountains. Accessed by a private driveway, there is ample parking for 4+ cars, and it's location in this mild climate where the local residents enjoy a 10 month outdoor lifestyle, means that is it equally suitable for early and late season bookings as well as for soaking up the sun in the high season.
The house is equipped with all the amenities to make a luxurious and relaxing holiday and equipment both indoor (TV, DVD, CD, Books, Games) and outdoor (table tennis, mini cricket, boules, swimming pool ) to keep everybody amused.

In a hamlet in a rural location amongst vineyards on the foothills of the Cevennes National Park, Mas de Lauzieres has stunning views and although it has lot's of privacy, it is not isolated. Situated between 3 villages, all amenities for daily life (bank, Post Office, shops, restaurants, bars etc) are within 3km. It is less than 15 minutes away from the superb tourist towns of Anduze (with more than 20 restaurants) and Vezenobres, and only 20 minutes drive to the delightful Uzes with it's famous Saturday market. Other notable places of interest in the area are the magnificent Pont du Gard, the cultural and cosmopolitan cities of Nimes, Montpellier, Avignon, Arles and Orange, the Grottes and caverns of the Cevennes, the Bambouseraie de Prafrance, the steam train from Anduze to St Jean du Gard and the thermal baths of Fumade les Bains. The list of activities - whether sporting or cultural is endless - there are 4 golf courses with 18 or more holes (one with 45); it is only 45 minutes to the Med and all the associated watersports activities, or there is swimming, fishing, diving or canoeing in the local rivers. The Cevennes Mountains are a playground for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and mountaineering, (with skiing in the winter on Mont Aigoual) and there is a wealth of cultural attractions (museums, potteries, Roman Sites etc) and traditional festivities (bull fighting, running the bulls through the villages, famous music and dance festivals). The flora and fauna is stunning and the pink flamingoes of the Camargue should not be missed. The Food and Wine also naturally deserve a mention - the superb markets have tempting displays of wonderful local produce, and the acres of vineyards are testament to the variety of wines on offer. The only problem for the visitor is one of choice!
