Apartments are located near the beach and the town, inside an orange orchard. Two quiet typical houses surrounded by exhuberant gardens with orange, olive and corcktrees, 1 Km from the small village of Deixa-o-Resto. Fine sandy beach and dunes of Lagoon Santo André are a 5 Km drive.

The two houses accommodate four completely renovated and tastefully equipped apartments for 2-6 persons (41-100 m²). Each apartment has its own shaded pavillion in garden with a romantic touch. Central heating, open fire place and heated floors in bathrooms make this property also suitable for the cooler winter months.

Apartment no. 4: 100 m², 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 with bunk beds), lounge with dining area, kitchen and store room, and 3 bathrooms with showers.

Local Area Details

Lagoon Santo Andre, located in the county Santiago de Cacém, is the largest lagoon of the Alentejo's coast.

Near the ocean, it is surrounded by a kilometres long sandy shore, and is adequate for windsurfing, angling and other leisure activities. Old traditional fishing boats can still be observed, and it constitutes an ecological treasure as nesting area for several migrating bird species.

Its water is of medium quality, reaching temperatures above the ocean water. Special attention should be given to dangerous pit spots and to the possible existence of lost fishing nets in the bottom.
Every year, during the high tides season, a channel to the ocean is opened with heavy earthmoving machinery, therefore renovating its water and its fauna.
In a fish rich area, visitors should taste some of the delicatessen of the Alentejo's coast, such as fish stew and eel bouillabaisse.
