responsible for the decoration of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican. Of late Caprese is renowned for its' excellent traditional restuarants.
Nearby Sansepolcro is the birthplace of painter Piero della Francesca, whos famous fresco Of The Risen Christ is to be seen in the Civic Museum.
