Property Details of Alaska Cabin
These charming modern cabins are open year round, and are the most unique and special places to stay in all of Seward. There are two waterfront cabins that sit on private beach on Resurrection Bay. Both have one queen bed and will sleep up to two guests. Both have modern bathroom with toilet, sink, shower. There is also a small living area with seating, and kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a two burner stove, microwave, toaster, small refrigerator, Melitta style coffee maker and all the utensils and dishware you need. There are also a BBQ Grills and large ice chests outside. For cooler months, the cabins are heated with a wall mounted propane heater with thermostat and blower. The cabins sit on the shores of beautiful Resurrection Bay and the scenery and wildlife viewing is amazing year round. These are the perfect get-a-way for a special vacation, a romantic retreat or just a place to come to rest & relax. Advance reservations even in the off-season, usually required! One of the waterfront cabins is completely wheelchair handicap accessible. New in June 2004.
There is also a unit new in 2003 called the Hobbit Loft, which is a 1 bedroom loft cabin located in the woods nearby. Master bedroom has a double bed. The amenities of this cabin are the same as listed above. During the off-season only, a 2nd bedroom with twin bed is available if seperate sleeping quarters are desired. Maximum number of guests is 2.
Local Area DetailsThe list of things to do in the Seward area is huge. Visit the Kenai Fjords National park, both via land at Exit Glacier and via a boat tour into the Fjords. See the dogs that run the Iditarod race either at Ididaride by the Seavey Family, or via helicopter on Godwin Glacier. Learn about the unique Alaska Marine environment by visting the Alaska SeaLife Center. Go kayking, go fishing for halibut and salmon (or catch your limit standing on the beach in front of the cabin in late August!). Go hiking; the trails nearby are too numerous to mention! Take photos of the incredible wildlife! Take a water-taxi to a remote beach and go exploring.

About DrivingThe best experience is to rent a car in Anchorage. In Alaska, when renting a car, be sure to plan on turning car in to same location to avoid hefty drop-off penalties & fees.
About BeachesThe two waterfront cabins offer private beach access. The loft cabin in the woods is just a short walk to the waterfront.
About Airport InformationNearest large airport is Anchorage; you can only charter flights into Seward, however you can take flight-seeing from Seward.
About Scenery/Beauty SpotsThe Seward Alaska area is an incredibly beautiful place, surrounded by snow capped mountains year round.
About ParksThe Kenai Fjords National Park is located in Seward, accessible from land via Exit Glacier where you can walk up to a glacier, or hike to the top of the icefield. From the water, take a boat tour into the national park and see all kinds of marine wildlife & calving glaciers.
About Local AttrcationsThe Alaska SeaLife Center is an educational marine wildlife facility well worth admission for all ages. They offer special behind the scenes tours and hands on encounters (must be reserved in advance).

| Angels Rest has a Summer season from May 15 through Sept. 14. Rate ranges depend on cabin choice, from $149 to $189US for one or two guests/one bed. Off-Season rates from Sept. 15 through May 14 range from $69 to $89 depending on cabin choice. October 1 through April 30 there are discounts on 2nd and additional nights. All rates are subject to local taxes, currently 2%, anticipated to increase to 3% on 1/1/2006. |
