There are many interesting places to visit, and the US provides a wide range of terrain that would allow a visitor to choose the type of activity and recreation they want to do. It is nice to get a vacation from time to time to allow you to regroup and get a fresher perspective in life. And one place you may consider visiting in the US is Utah. The state is located in the western portion of the country where about 80% of the population resides along Wasatch Front where Salt Lake City is the center.

Going around Utah is good, and you can easily get to places you want to visit in Utah, and there certainly is a lot to see in this state. Utah is distinct for the Great Basin, Rocky Mountains and Colorado Plateau. Get to see pine forests and sand dunes in deserts which show diversity of terrains for many types of activities visitors can enjoy. The southern landscape shows much of sandstone such as in the Kayenta and Navajo sandstones. Get to visit several federal parks including Bryce Canyon, Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Cedar Breaks, Hovenweep, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Gobline Valley state parks and Grand Staircase Escalante.

Once you get to the eastern portion of Utah, you shouldn’t miss the Dinosaur National Monument. Take a picture of the Joshua trees, Jumping Cholla cactus and yucca plants that dot the southwest portion of the state in Mojave Desert. Other breathtaking sceneries that you shouldn’t miss are the Logan Canyon in the northern part of Utah.
