Best Western Announces £1 Million Re-branding Plans
Dave BondOne of the most well known names in the hotel industry, Best Western, has just recently announced its re-branding plans. The hotel will be re-branding itself with the new strap line, “hotels with personality.”
The hotel group’s bosses said that they wanted to emphasize the individuality of each of its 265 hotels. Best Western will launch its first television commercial on April 15th of this year. It will also be launching new marketing materials and repackaged hotel products like shampoo and soap.
The head of marketing for Best Western Hotels Great Britain, Tim Wade, said that the industry has been dominated by growth in the budget sector for quite some time now. It is now time that Best Western needs to change perceptions. No other brand has the diversity that Best Western has.
Tim Wade went on to say that they have an iconic brand, and they are building on this with a twist. Their hotels are all independently owned and operated and the personality of each property has been one of the hotel group’s key strengths. This is what they would like to focus their new campaign on.
With this new campaign, Best Western hopes to become the number one mid-market brand in the UK. Wade said that the group has introduced stricter quality controls for member hotels. They also have more frequent checks on standards.
Mr Wade said that their quality standards are even higher now than ever before. There has got to be consistency in their quality if this new re-branding campaign is going to work. Best Western has also re-launched its website.
