Europe Nominations for the World Travel Awards Announced
Robert JonesThe new nominees for the annual World Travel Awards Europe Gala Ceremony have just been confirmed. Right now this event is planned for October of this year.
This event, which is described as the ultimate achievement for any European tourism organization, will have more than 1,000 travel brands competing for awards. Regional winners will then go forward to compete in the World Travel Awards 2010 Grand Final in London. Here they will go up against some of the finest travel operators in the whole world. Most of these travel operators that make it to the Grand Finals in London consistently demonstrate excellence aspects of their business every year.
The president of the World Travel Awards, Graham Cooke, said that Europe, in particular, is always highly contested. After a rigorous selection procedure, successful nominees must now continue to demonstrate what exactly it is that sets them apart from everyone else. Nominees will now focus on a hard fought campaign, canvassing industry professionals for their support.
The World Travel Awards, now in its 17th year, is a major driver of supreme quality standards within the global travel and tourism industry. It encourages excellence in everything from product innovation, creativity, and even staff training. Other categories that are covered include customer service and, of course, overall performance.
The European nominees are among 5,000 nominated companies. These companies include cruise lines, airlines, resorts, destinations and hotels in more than 160 countries. The votes are cast globally by fellow industry professionals in over 1,000 different categories. More information about nominations will surface in the coming weeks.
