Jeremy Clarkson says Stig Reaches the End of His Road
Abi BrayAccording to one of the Top Gear stars, Jeremy Clarkson, the man who plays Stig has been sacked from the show. Ben Collins, who has been playing Stig for some seven years, has been let go after he unmasked himself. This happened after the BBC failed to win an injunction preventing Ben from doing so.
Jeremy Clarkson said that he felt hurt and even betrayed by Ben’s actions. He said that it was a shock and horrible, because Ben used to come over to his house for drinks and so on. Now it all came down to this. However, one thing is for sure, Stig is gone.
Mr Clarkson went on to add that he has spent the last three weeks or so thinking about what on earth to do next. He then went on to talk about the film Wall Street. He said that, in that movie, Gordon Gekko said that greed is good, and greed works. However, Jeremy is here to say that it is not; greed is bad and ruins people.
Clarkson was asked who might be replacing Stig and he was not able to give any names. However, he did say that there are many of thousands of people who are waiting to take the next spot that they create. He then added that it would not be him, because he is too old. However, he did joke and say that he would love to have Prime Minister Cameron do it, because he is sure that he could drive well.
Ben had done a lot of things in his life before he was the man behind the mask. Before he became Stig, he was a former American NASCAR driver, as well as a Formula 3 driver. He was also a Daniel Craig stunt double.
